Based around Dayton, known as
the birthplace of aviation and the home of the United
States Air Force Museum, this metropolitan area is rife with historic sites,
arts venues, scenic parks and shopping and dining opportunities. Boonshoft

International Peace Museum, and Historic
Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum are just a few of the attractions to visit
while in Dayton. At the Kettering-Moraine
Historical Museum in Kettering,
visitors have the chance to see eight historic structures and learn about the
history of the Wright brothers. Also in Kettering is Fraze
Pavilion, host to over 50 festivals and events throughout the year. Beavercreek
offers a wide array of shopping opportunities at the Mall
at Fairfield Commons, which features more than 150 specialty shops, department
stores and restaurants. Sycamore
State Park, located just west of Dayton, is a popular location for hiking,
fishing and horseback riding.
